The Nemo-Tools project made a significant contribution to the Joint International Conference of MIKROBIOKOSMOS & CEESME, held on September 22-24 2025, at Thessaloniki. Team member and researcher Konstantina Rizou represented the project with an oral presentation, sharing key findings on Metagenome Assembled Genomes (MAGs) from multi-stressed coastal environments.
The study represented a comprehensive and robust bioinformatic pipeline designed to recover Metagenome Assembled Genomes (MAGs) from red tide events caused by Noctiluca scintillans in Thermaikos Bay, Greece.
The conference brought together scientists and researchers from diverse backgrounds, providing an excellent opportunity to foster collaboration and exchange of ideas. It also inspired students and young professionals in microbiology to share their research.
The event offered a valuable platform to present our findings to the wider environmental microbiology community and to explore potential collaborations.
