Nemo-Tools project at the 58th European Marine Biology Symposium

The Nemo-Tools project made a significant contribution to the 58th European Marine Biology Symposium, held on July 06-09 2025, at Bodø, Norway. Team member and researcher Vassilis Galanos represented the project with a poster presentation.

This year’s 58th European Marine Biology Symposium (https://www.embs-symposium.com/) brought together more than 200 young and senior scientists from all over the world. With a focus on climate change and biodiversity challenges, multiple oral and poster presentations were presented during the four days of the conference. In this context, we presented our work on developing low-cost hydrophone toolkits within the scope of the NemoTools project.

Through this presentation we had the chance to get to know many colleagues, exchange ideas and communicate our work. In addition to the presentations, the activities of the conference also included an arctic beach walk excursion and a marine biology themed pop-quiz.
